強制キス」スペインサッカー協会長、検察調査開始母親、断食闘争で息子を庇う

女子サッカー選手に奇襲キスをしたとして90日間の職務停止処分を受けたスペインサッカー協会のルイス・ルビアレス会長に対する検察の調査が始まった。

28日(現地時間)、AFP通信によると、スペイン最高刑事裁判所の検察は同日、ルビアーレスの行動が性犯罪に該当する可能性があると見て予備調査に着手した。同裁判所は「国家裁判所の検察が性犯罪に該当する可能性がある今回の事案の事実関係を調査するために予備調査を開始した」と明らかにした。

これに先立ち、ルビアレス会長は20日、スペインの優勝で幕を閉じた2023 FIFAオーストラリア・ニュージーランド女子ワールドカップの授賞式でエルモソの顔をつかんで強引にキスをした。選手の同意なしに起きた突発的な行動でセクハラ疑惑が浮上した。ルビアレス会長はエルモソの同意を得た行動だったと謝罪したが、世論はさらに悪化し、辞任圧力が強まっている。

スペイン地域サッカー協会の会長たちは、スペインサッカー協会名義で声明を発表し、「最近の出来事とスペインサッカーのイメージを著しく損なう行為と関連し、ルビアレス会長に直ちに会長職を辞任するよう要請する。スペインサッカー行政の新たな段階のために、協会は戦略的な位置から根本的な組織再編を行う必要がある」と主張した。国連（UN）もステファン・ドゥザリック報道官を通じて「スポーツ界の女性に対する深刻な性差別が残っている」という声明を発表した。

事態が深刻になると、突然、ルビアレス会長の母親は息子の無実を主張し、ある教会の中で断食闘争をしているという報道が出た。アンヘレス・ベジャール・ルビアレス会長の母親は、捜査に対する報復として、故郷のアンダルシア州モトリルに位置するある教会で断食闘争を行ったというニュースが伝えられた。
