ゴルフ女帝」朴仁妃、韓国のIOC競技委員候補に決定

"ゴルフの女王 "朴仁妃が国際オリンピック委員会（IOC）の韓国選手委員候補に最終決定した。

韓国オリンピック委員会（KOC）によると、朴仁妃は来年のパリ五輪で選出されるIOC選手団の韓国代表候補となる。

朴仁妃は10月10日、第1回評価委員会でキム・ヨンギョン、チン・ジョンオ、キム・ソヨン、イ・デフンと個別面接を行った。評価項目は、オリンピックでの実績、競技歴、外国語能力、IOCの公用語である英語とフランス語でのコミュニケーション能力などであった。

朴は中学時代からアメリカに住んでいたため、比較的英語力が高く、高得点を獲得したと伝えられている。朴の指名は木曜日のIOC上院の会議で行われ、同日最終決定された。

朴はLPGAツアーで21勝を挙げ、歴代賞金ランキング4位（1,826万ドル）、メジャー4勝、殿堂入りを果たした女子ゴルフ界の生きる伝説だ。朴は2016年のリオデジャネイロ・オリンピックで金メダルを獲得し、女子ゴルフは116年ぶりにオリンピック・プログラムに復帰した。

IOC選手委員会の選挙は、来年のパリオリンピック期間中に行われる。IOCは合計4人の選手を選出する。前回のオリンピックに出場した選手、または選挙が行われる年のオリンピックに出場する選手に立候補資格がある。IOC選手の任期は8年である。
