‘골프 여제’ 박인비, IOC 선수위원 한국 후보로 최종 확정

‘골프 여제’ 박인비가 국제올림픽위원회(IOC) 선수위원 한국 후보로 최종 확정됐다.

18일 대한체육회에 따르면 박인비는 내년 파리올림픽에서 선출되는 IOC 선수위원 한국 후보로 결정됐다.

앞서 10일 박인비는 김연경, 진종오, 김소영, 이대훈 등과 1차 평가위원회에서 개별 면접을 가졌다. 올림픽 성적을 비롯해 선수 경력, 외국어 능력, 원활한 소통을 위해 IOC 공식 언어인 영어와 프랑스어 등이 평가 요소였다.

박인비는 중학교 때부터 미국에서 지내며 영어 실력이 상대적으로 뛰어나 높은 점수를 받은 것으로 전해졌다. 14일 체육회 원로회의를 통해 박인비는 단일 후보로 추천됐고 이날 최종 확정됐다.

여자 골프계의 살아있는 전설인 박인비는 미국여자프로골프(LPGA)투어 21승, 역대 누적 상금 4위(1826만 달러), 4대 메이저대회 제패, 명예의 전당 가입 등의 기록을 세웠다. 여자 골프가 116년 만에 올림픽 종목으로 부활했던 2016 리우데자네이루 올림픽에서 박인비는 금메달을 목에 걸었다.

IOC 선수위원 선거는 내년 파리올림픽 기간 진행된다. IOC는 총 4명의 선수위원을 뽑을 예정이다. IOC 선수위원은 직전 올림픽에 출전했거나 선거가 진행되는 해의 올림픽에 나서는 선수들이 출마할 수 있다. IOC 선수위원의 임기는 8년이다.

‘엠카 인 프랑스’서 불거진 인종차별 논란…현장 증언 들어보니

CJ ENM측은 사전에 “파리 라데팡스 아레나는 전문가용 카메라 반입이 금지된 공연장”이라고 밝힌 바 있다. 이에 현장에서는 카메라 등의 소지품 검사가 진행됐다. 그런데 현장 요원들이 유럽인들도 카메라를 소지하고 카메라로 무대를 촬영했음에도 동양인들만 엄격하게 단속했다는 현장 증언이 나왔다. 증언에 따르면 현장 요원들은 동양인들의 카메라를 압수하거나 가방을 뒤지는 행위도 서슴지 않았다. 논란이 지속되자 CJ ENM 측은 “반입 금지 물품을 모니터링하는 과정에서 과잉 진압이 있었는지 사실 관계 확인중”이라고 밝혔다. 한편, K팝 콘서트에서 인종차별 의혹이 발생한 것은 이번이 처음은 아니다. 2021년 말에 있었던 방탄소년단의 LA콘서트에서 한국팬들은 카메라를 들고 가수를 찍었다는 이유로 현지 팬들에게 폭행을 당하기도 했다.
