A woman in her 20s who allegedly stalked BTS member Bieber (28, real name Kim Tae-hyung) by visiting his home multiple times has been detained by police.
The Gangnam Police Station in Seoul said on July 27 that it is investigating A, a woman in her 20s, for violating the Stalking Punishment Act.
Ms. A is suspected of stalking Mr. B at 6:30 p.m. on the previous day (26), waiting in front of his home and then following him into the elevator as he drove his car into the apartment parking lot and talking to him.
Shortly after the incident, Mr. A fled the scene. After receiving a report from the security guard, the police identified the suspect through closed-circuit television and arrested him. It was found that Mr. A had visited Ms. B's home several times before.
The police imposed a state of emergency, prohibiting him from approaching within 100 meters and preventing him from contacting her by phone, and will investigate the circumstances of the crime against Mr. A. Meanwhile, police are also investigating whether the woman who visited Vu earlier and handed him a marriage license is the same person as Mr. A.
