YG Entertainment has confirmed that nothing has been finalized regarding the re-signing of its artist BLACKPINK.
"Nothing has been finalized (regarding BLACKPINK's contract) and we are in talks," YG Entertainment said on Nov. 21.
Earlier in the day, a media outlet reported that Jenny, Jisoo, and Lisa were moving to other agencies, citing a source close to the group. "It is reported that Rose has put her stamp of approval to re-sign with YG Entertainment, and the other three members, Jenny, Jisoo, and Lee, are in last-minute negotiations for a 'separate but equal' strategy where they will move to agencies other than YG Entertainment but continue to work as BLACKPINK for seven months of the year," the outlet said.
The rumors of BLACKPINK's non-renewal began in July. At the time, it was reported that Lisa's contract was unclear, but YG only said that they were "in discussions," so attention is focused on whether BLACKPINK will continue to exist and whether the members will be re-signed.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK recently held the final concert of their world tour, "Finale in Seoul," and met with fans.
