On April 4 (KST), Spanish media outlet Football España published an interview with Neymar, citing a report from Diario AS.
"It was very sad (last season) because we were two sides of the same coin," Neymar said, referring to himself and Lionel Messi (Inter Miami), who left PSG this summer. I lived my dream with the Argentina national team (winning the World Cup in Qatar), but I went through hell at PSG. We both did," he said.
"Messi had no reason to leave PSG like that, football-wise, anyone who knows him knows that," Neymar said, adding that he was not treated properly within the team.
Neymar, who joined PSG from Barcelona in a then-record €222 million ($319.5 billion) transfer in 2017, moved to Al Hilal six years later. Although the exact terms of the deal were not disclosed, local media reported that Neymar signed a two-year contract with Al-Hilal, earning €150 million (KRW 21.9 billion) per year.
