(G)i-dleがドイツで2人乗り電動スクーターに乗り物議を醸す

g)i-dleのYuqiとMinnieが1台の電動スクーターで歩道を一緒に走行する動画が物議を醸している。


21日(現地時間)、あるネットユーザーがドイツのベルリンで、ユーチーとミニーが電動スクーターで一緒に移動している動画を投稿した。一緒に乗っていただけでなく、自転車道ではなく歩道を走っていたのだ。


ドイツでは、2人が一緒に電動スクーターに乗っているところを捕まると、10ユーロ(約14,000円)の罰金が科せられる。スクーターは自転車専用道路で乗ることが推奨されており、歩道でスクーターに乗っているところを捕まると、55ユーロ(約78,000円)の罰金が科せられる。


Eスクーターによる事故が多発していることから、規制が強化されている。先月、フランスのパリ市は5年ぶりにeスクーターのレンタルを停止した。過去5年間、パリでは35歳以下の若者や学生を中心にeスクーターのレンタルが広く普及してきた。しかし、運転手の安全性だけでなく、歩行者を危険にさらし、しばしば路上に放置され交通の妨げになることから、論争も巻き起こしてきた。


また、Eスクーターが実際に環境に良い影響を与えるのかどうかという疑問もあり、2020年には、その無差別な使用によってパリが危険な「ジャングル」になってしまったという苦情まで出た。その後、パリ市は世界で最も強力な規制を導入し、運営者の数を制限し、追跡して速度を制限したが、論争は収まっていない。


アメリカ、ドイツ、日本、イギリス、シンガポールでは、スクーター・シェアリング会社は当局の認可を受けて営業することが義務付けられている。主な先進国では、eスクーターを体系的に規制するために、自転車専用レーンでの使用を制限する、保険加入を義務付ける、免許制にする、といった措置のうち1つ以上を実施している。
