“숙소 찾아갈 것”…프로게이머 페이커 살해 예고 글, 경찰 추적 중

프로게이머 페이커(본명 이상혁)를 살해하겠다는 글이 인터넷에 올라와 경찰이 수사에 나섰다.

11일 서울경찰청은 전날 오후 10시께 온라인 커뮤니티 디시인사이드에 페이커가 속한 팀 ‘T1’의 숙소에 찾아가 흉기로 해치겠다는 글이 게재된 것을 확인하고 대전서부경찰서로 사건을 이첩했다고 밝혔다.

경찰은 인터넷 주소(IP)를 추적해 작성자를 특정하고 신원이 확인되는 대로 검거할 방침이다.

앞서 대검찰청은 인터넷에 ‘살인 예고’ 글을 올려 불특정 다수를 위협한 혐의로 이날 기준 전국에서 11명을 구속했다.

지난달 21일 서울 ‘신림역 흉기 난동’ 사건 이후 사회관계망서비스(SNS) 등에 유사 범죄를 저지르겠다는 글이 잇따라 올라오고 있는데 따른 것이다. 검찰과 경찰은 이들을 추적·검거한 뒤 범죄의 중대성과 도주, 증거인멸 가능성 등을 따져 구속영장을 청구하고 있다.

지난달 27일 신림역에서 여성 20명을 살해하겠다고 예고한 20대가 구속된 이후 6일에 1명, 7일부터 9일까지 하루에 2명씩 구속됐다. 10일에는 청량리역, 춘천, 서울숲역, 용산에서 각각 흉기 난동을 예고한 4명이 줄줄이 구속됐다.

법무부는 “대검찰청으로부터 공중 협박 관련 법률 개정 건의를 받아들여 정보통신망법 등 법률에 살인 예고 글 등 공중 협박 행위에 대한 형사처벌 규정을 신설하겠다”고 밝혔다.

‘엠카 인 프랑스’서 불거진 인종차별 논란…현장 증언 들어보니
