日本気象庁、第7号台風「ラン」の気象地図で「独島」を日本領と表記

日本気象庁が第7号台風「ラン」の気象地図で独島を日本領と表記したことが知られて物議を醸している。

16日、ソ・ギョンドク聖心女子大学教授は、社会関係網サービス(SNS)を通じて日本気象庁に独島を日本の領土と表記したことを是正するよう要求する抗議メールを送ったと明らかにした。

ソ教授は「日本気象庁は独島を'竹島'と表記しており、これに対して3年前から持続的に抗議してきた。最も大きな問題は、台風、津波警報時に気象庁のサイトに多くの日本のネットユーザーが訪問するため、独島に関する誤った認識を植え付けることができることだ」と指摘した。

続けて「今回の抗議メールでは『これは明らかな領土挑発だ。独島は歴史的、地理的、国際法的に明らかな大韓民国の領土だからだ」と指摘した」と付け加えた。ソ教授は、日本気象庁だけでなく、日本最大のポータルサイトであるヤフージャパンの天気アプリケーションも独島を日本の領土と表記していると伝えた。
