"I need a dress"...'Jamboree K-pop concert' undercover entry controversy

While the government is showing its determination to seal the jamboree controversy with the "2023 Saemangeum World Scout Jamboree," some idol fans are seeking out short suits to watch the concert.

The jamboree concert will be held at the Seoul World Cup Stadium in Sangam-dong, Seoul, on Nov. 11. The concert, which was previously scheduled to take place on June 6 at a special outdoor stage at Saemangeum in Buan, Jeollabuk-do, was postponed due to various controversies, heat waves, and safety concerns, and was finally finalized at the Seoul World Cup Stadium.

Newjeans, NCT DREAM, ITZY, MAMAMOO, The Boys, SHINee & Hyungwon, Promise 9, Zero Base One, Kang Daniel, Kwon Eun Bi, Cho Yuri, P.O.W. Harmony, KARD, The New Six, ATBO, CYCUS, Holy Bang, Liberante, and 18 other artists will perform at the Jamboree K-Pop Concert. The MCs will be actress Gong Mi Rae, ITZY's Yuna, and NUJINS' Hye In.

The process of organizing the artist lineup was also criticized. Representative Sung Il-jong even asked the Ministry of National Defense to support BTS to participate in the "Jamboree K-pop Concert" as some members are serving in the military. This was widely criticized as it was said that BTS was trying to rehabilitate its image.

Although the concert was meant for Jamboree members, some idol fans tried to enter the concert by disguising themselves as Jamboree members. On a second-hand trading platform, a number of posts titled "Jamboree scout uniforms are available" were posted. Someone who claimed to be a fan of girl group Newjeans left comments such as, "Can you lend me a jamboree shirt, I want to see Newjeans inside the World Cup stadium." Other netizens who saw the video also wrote comments pointing out this.

The K-pop concert will be held at the Seoul World Cup Stadium in Sangam-dong from 7 p.m. on Nov. 11. The closing ceremony will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. before the concert starts.
