YG 신인 걸그룹 베이비몬스터, 27일 데뷔 확정…“최상의 결과물 선보인다”

YG 신인 걸그룹 베이비몬스터가 27일 데뷔를 확정했다.

10일 YG엔터테인먼트는 공식 블로그에 ‘베이비몬스터 데뷔 티저(BABYMONSTER DEBUT TEASER)’를 게재했다. 베이비몬스터 타이포그래피와 데뷔일 ‘2023.11.27 0AM KST’ 문구가 담긴 포스터로 최종 데뷔로 향하는 마지막 단계에 돌입했음을 알렸다.

YG는 “앞서 귀띔했던 대로 뮤직비디오 촬영도 순조롭게 완료됐다. 팬 여러분의 기다림에 보답하고자 최선의 지원과 노력을 아끼지 않았다. 공식 데뷔일까지 최상의 결과물을 선보이기 위해 후반 작업에 박차를 가할 예정이다. 앞으로 순차적으로 베일을 벗을 프로모션에도 많은 관심 부탁드린다”고 밝혔다.

베이비몬스터는 한국, 태국, 일본 등 다국적 멤버로 구성된 7인조 그룹으로 블랙핑크에 이어 YG가 약 7년 만에 선보이는 새로운 걸그룹이다. 데뷔 전임에도 베이비몬스터 공식 유튜브 채널 구독자는 315만 명을 넘었고 누적 조회수는 4억5000만 회를 돌파했다. 미국 빌보드는 이들을 ‘주목해야 할 K팝 아티스트’로 선정하며 K팝 장르에 새로운 물결을 일으킬 것이라고 전망했다.
