キム・ハソン、MLBゴールドグラブ受賞...韓国人初

キム・ハソン(28-サンディエゴ・パドレス)が米プロ野球メジャーリーグ(MLB)のポジション別最高選手に与えられるゴールドグラブを受賞した。韓国人選手としては初の記録だ。

MLB事務局とゴールドグローブ主催会社ローリングスが6日(韓国時間)発表したゴールドグローブ受賞者リストで、キム・ハソンはユーティリティ部門に堂々と名を連ねた。ゴールドグラブはMLBで一年間、ポジション別最高の守備選手に与えられる賞だ。

キム・ハソンは最初に発表されたナショナルリーグ2塁手部門では受賞に失敗したが、一番最後に発表されたユーティリティ部門でムキ・ベッツ(LAドジャース)、トニー・エドマン(セントルイス)を抑えて受賞者に選ばれた。

キム・ハソンは今シーズン、主なポジションである2塁はもちろん、3塁、遊撃手など1塁を除く全内野ポジションで堅実な守備を披露した。

一方、キム・ハソンのゴールドグラブ受賞はアジア出身としてはシアトル・マリナーズの鈴木一郎(日本)に続いて2人目だ。イチローは2001年から2010年まで10年連続でアメリカンリーグ(AL)外野手部門のゴールドグラブを獲得した。
