김하성, MLB 골드글러브 수상…한국인 최초

김하성(28·샌디에이고 파드리스)이 미국프로야구 메이저리그(MLB) 포지션별 최고 선수에게 주는 골드글러브를 수상했다. 역대 한국인 선수로는 최초의 기록이다.


MLB 사무국과 골드글러브 주관 업체 롤링스가 6일(한국시간) 발표한 골드 글러브 수상자 명단에서 김하성은 유틸리티 부문에서 당당히 이름을 올렸다. 골드글러브는 MLB에서 한 해 동안 포지션별 최고 수비수에게 주어지는 상이다.


김하성은 먼저 발표된 내셔널리그 2루수 부문에서는 수상에 실패했지만, 맨 마지막에 발표된 유틸리티 부문에서 무키 베츠(LA다저스), 토니 에드먼(세인트루이스)를 제치고 수상자로 선정됐다.


김하성은 올 시즌 주 포지션인 2루는 물론 3루, 유격수 등 1루를 제외한 전 내야 포지션에서 견고한 수비를 뽐냈다.


한편, 김하성의 골드글러브 수상은 아시아 출신으로는 시애틀 매리너스 스즈키 이치로(일본)에 이어 두 번째다. 이치로는 2001~2010년까지 10년 연속 아메리칸리그(AL) 외야수 부문 골드 글러브를 차지했다.
