‘퇴장 2명’ 토트넘, 첼시에 대패…손흥민 골도 취소

손흥민의 소속팀 토트넘 홋스퍼가 2명이 퇴장당하는 악재 속에서 첼시FC에 1-4로 대패했다.


토트넘은 7일 오전 5시(한국시간) 영국 런던의 토트넘 홋스퍼 스타디움에서 열린 첼시와의 2023-2024 시즌 프리미어리그(PL) 11라운드에서 데얀 쿨루셉스키의 선제골을 지키지 못하고 9명으로 싸우는 수적 열세 속에서 1-4 역전패를 당했다.


개막 후 10승 2무를 기록하며 이어진 토트넘의 무패 행진이 12번째 경기에서 멈추며 첫 패를 기록했다. 이날 패배로 토트넘은 맨체스터시티(맨시티·승점 27)에 이어 리그 2위를 기록하고 있다.


이날 원톱 스트라이커로 선발 출전한 손흥민은 전반 13분 한 차례 첼시의 골네트를 갈랐지만, 비디오 판독(VAR) 끝에 오프사이드 판정을 받았다.


악재는 이어졌다. 전반 28분, 첼시 모이세스 카이세도의 중거리 슛에 대한 VAR 확인 과정에서 크리스티안 로메로가 엔조 페르난데스에게 반칙을 범한 것이 확인돼 페널티킥이 주어졌다. 이와 함께 로메로는 퇴장까지 당했다.


거기다 후반 9분 첼시의 역습 상황에서 라힘 스털링을 태클로 저지한 데스티니 우도지가 경고 누적으로 퇴장당하며 토트넘은 9명으로 11명과 싸우는 최악의 상황에 부딪혔다. 손흥민은 경기 중후반부터 전방에서 고립됐다.


결국, 1-1로 맞서던 토트넘은 첼시의 니콜라스 잭슨에게 해트트릭을 내주며 무너졌다.


이날 축구 통계전문사이트 후스코어드닷컴은 경기 후 손흥민에게 평점 6.4점을 부여했다. 이는 셰필드 유나이티드와 5라운드 경기(6.0점), 브렌트퍼드와 개막전(6.1점)에 이어 이번 시즌 3번째로 낮은 평점이다.
