 HYBE and MBC have held a reconciliation meeting. The meeting is expected to improve the relationship between HYBE and MBC, which deteriorated following BTS's withdrawal from MBC's 2019 "Gayo Daejeon" program.

On the 30th, MBC President Ahn Hyung-jun and Hive Chairman Bang Si-hyuk held a conversation to establish advanced production practices at MBC.

"Let's improve the wrong production culture between broadcasters and entertainment companies and create content with mutual respect and consideration," Ahn said, expressing his regret for the singers who were hurt by the wrong and outdated practices.

Chairman Bang also expressed his gratitude for MBC's sincere apology and willingness to meet, saying, "I hope this meeting will be the starting point for a healthy content production environment that goes beyond past practices."

Both companies agreed on their efforts to combat unfair broadcasting practices and create a healthy broadcasting environment, and said they will come up with a policy that will yield tangible results as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, with the improved relationship between Hive and MBC, it is expected that Hive label artists (BTS, SEVENTEEN, Le Seraphim, Newzine, etc.) who have been absent from MBC programs since 2019 will appear on MBC programs.
