“과거의 관행을 넘어 건강한 미래 향해”...하이브·MBC 화해

하이브(HYBE)와 MBC가 화해의 만남을 가졌다. 이번 만남으로 2019년 방탄소년단(BTS)의 MBC‘가요대제전’ 불참 이후 악화된 하이브와 MBC의 관계가 개선될 전망이다.

30일 MBC 안형준 사장과 하이브 방시혁 의장은 MBC에서 선진적 제작 관행 정착을 위한 대화를 나눴다.

안 사장은 “방송사와 엔터사 간의 그릇된 제작 문화를 개선하고 상호 존중과 배려의 자세로 콘텐츠를 제작하자”며 잘못되고 낡은 관행으로 상처받은 가수들에게 유감의 뜻을 전했다.

방 의장도 MBC의 진심 어린 사과와 적극적으로 자리를 만들어 주었음에 감사의 마음을 표하며 “이번 만남이 과거의 관행을 넘어 건강한 콘텐츠 제작환경이 새롭게 자리 잡는 출발점이 되길 희망한다”라고 말했다.

양사 모두 불공정한 방송제작 관행 타파와 건전한 방송제작 환경 조성을 위한 노력에 공감하며 이른 시일 내에 가시적 결과물을 도출해낼 방침을 마련하겠다고 밝혔다.

한편, 하이브와 MBC의 관계개선으로 2019년 이후 MBC 프로그램에 불참했던 하이브 레이블 아티스트(방탄소년단, 세븐틴, 르세라핌, 뉴진스 등)의 MBC 프로그램 출연이 기대되고 있다.
