BTS is set to sign all of its members to new contracts with Big Hit Music.

On June 20, Hive announced that "Big Hit Music will continue to work with BTS after 2025," adding, "Based on this board resolution, we will sign contracts with all members of BTS in sequence."

BTS debuted under Hive's predecessor, Big Hit Entertainment, in June 2013 and celebrated their 10th anniversary this year.

In 2018, the group re-signed before completing their seven-year contract, and now all members have signed a second contract, allowing them to continue working together as a team beyond 2025, when all members will have completed their military service.

Since June of last year, the members have been pursuing individual activities after suspending their group activities due to military service. Their subsequent solo releases have also proved their enduring popularity, topping Billboard and global charts.

Big Hit Music will sign contracts with some members, including Jin and J-Hope, individually and in order, considering their military service. The members are reportedly hoping to resume full activity in 2025.

Hive said, "With the signing of the re-contract, we will be able to join BTS in their full activities, which they hope to do in 2025," adding, "Hive and Big Hit Music will do everything possible to help BTS further strengthen their status."

Meanwhile, BIGHIT Music will donate KRW 1 billion to the UNICEF Korea Committee as a thank you to BTS and their fandom ARMY for coming together once again. The donation will be made through the LOVE MYSELF campaign, which was launched with BTS in November 2017.

On the 16th, Seo Kyung-duk, a professor at Sungshin Women's University, sent a protest email to the Japan Meteorological Agency through social networking services (SNS), demanding that the agency correct its mistake of labeling Dokdo as Japanese land. "The Japan Meteorological Agency has always labeled Dokdo as '竹島' (Takeshima), and we have been protesting against this for three years. The biggest problem is that many Japanese netizens visit the Japan Meteorological Agency's website during typhoon and tsunami warnings, which can create a false perception of Dokdo," he said. "In this protest email, we said, 'This is a clear territorial provocation. Dokdo is an undisputed territory of the Republic of Korea under historical, geographical, and international law." Professor Seo said that not o...
