드라마 D.P.의 배경이 되는 2010년대에 군 복무를 했다는 예비역 대위 김상호 씨는 "D.P. 속 이야기들이 마냥 과장된 것이라고 보기는 어렵다"며 "드라마 속에서 실총을 갖고 외부로 나가는 연출을 제외하고는 대부분이 충분히 현재 일어날 수 있는 일들이다"라고 말했는데요.

이어 "'거미, 개미, 매미'를 군대 내에서는 3대 진미라고 부른다"면서 "최근에 전역한 해병대 지인에 따르면 이 3대 진미를 억지로 먹이기도 한다"는 이야기를 전해 들었다고 밝히기도 했습니다.
