교도통신 “후쿠시마 오염수 방류, ‘24일 오후 1시 시작’ 조율 중”

일본 정부가 후쿠시마 제1원자력발전소 오염수 해양 방류를 24일 오후 1시에 시작할 것으로 보인다.

23일 교도통신에 따르면 일본 정부와 도쿄전력은 후쿠시마 제1원자력발전소 오염수(일본 정부 명칭 ‘처리수’) 해양 방류를 이르면 24일 오후 1시에 시작하는 방향으로 조율 중이라고 보도했다.

도쿄전력은 전날 오염수 첫 방류에 앞서 오염수가 계획대로 희석되는지 확인하는 작업에 착수했다. 전날 오후 7시 33분께 오염수 약 1t을 희석 설비로 보내 바닷물 1200t과 혼합해 대형 수조에 담은 것이다.

수조에서 채취한 표본의 삼중수소(트리튬) 농도가 방류 기준치인 1L당 1500베크렐(㏃) 이하로 확인되고, 기상 상황에 별다른 문제가 없다면 오염수 방류는 예정대로 24일 시작될 것으로 예상된다.
